Nile Rafting

The grade 5 rapids along the Nile near Bujagali Falls provide an exhilarating rafting experience.  Currently there are four reputable companies running rafting excursions along the river.  Typical one-day itineraries start at Bujagali Falls and finish at Itanda, about 13 miles downstream.  Of the nine major rapids, four of them are classed as grade 5.  The calm stretches of the river provide excellent swimming and bird watching.

Excursions include all equipment, transportation, lunch, and drinks.  Be sure that the company you raft with is a member of the Jinja Adventure Safety Association.  Full day trips run around $125 per person. Kayaking, quad biking, bungee jumping, maintain biking, and jet boating are all offered in Jinja, making it the Adventure Capital of East Africa.
