Serengeti National Park

Tanzania’s oldest and most popular National Park, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration.  The World Heritage Site offers arguable the most spectacular game viewing in all of Africa.  As enduring as the game-viewing is the liberating sense of space that characterizes the Serengeti Plains, stretching across sun burnt savannah to a shimmering golden horizon at the end of the earth.

Year round wildlife include Lions, Leopard, Cheetah, Hippo, Crocodile, Elephant, Buffalo, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Gazelle, Kongoni, Spotted Hyena, Eland, Topi, Ostrich, all three species of African Jackal, and the elusive Aardwolf and Serval Cat.

The 5,700 sq. miles that make up the Serengeti can be found in Northwest Tanzania.  The park can be reached by car (5 hours from Arusha) or by scheduled flights from Arusha.
