Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Both exhilarating and peaceful, being in close contact with a family of Mountain Gorillas is an experience of a lifetime.  It is estimated that Volcanoes National Park is home to just over 300 Mountain Gorillas, or nearly half the total remaining population.  There are now 8 habituated groups located in Rwanda.

Visits take place in the morning and allow visitors to stay one hour with the Gorillas.  Only 8 people are allowed to visit any one group, thus permits are extremely limited and should be confirmed prior to making your travel arrangements.  The current rate for a Mountain Gorilla permit in Rwanda is $750 per person.
