Northern Tanzania Group Departure

Camille and Luis Fernando have booked this trip as part of their vacation in Tanzania.  They are looking for one or two others to join the safari.

Day 1 : Arusha to Serengeti

Accommodation: Public Campsite

Early morning, departure from Arusha towards Serengeti. After passing Mto Wa Mbu village and stop at the view point above the Rift Valley and Lake Manyara, we will enter into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and stop for our picnic lunch on the rim of the crater. We will continue West and enter into the Serengeti National Park. We will arrive in the late afternoon to our campsite for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - Day 4 : Serengeti National Park

Accommodation: Public Campsite

We will spend 3 full days exploring the “Endless plains” of the Serengeti. This will allow plenty of time to explore the different ecosystems found within the park.

Day 5 : Serengeti to Ngorongoro

Accommodation: Simba Public Campsite

After a last morning game drive in the Serengeti, we will start our way back to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, lovers of archeology will not want to miss the stop at the Olduvai Gorge, the Cradle of Humanity, and visit the Museum (optional). After climbing the steep road to Ngorongoro Crater, we will arrive at our campsite located on the rim for dinner and overnight. (Please note that it can become very cold at this campsite).

Day 6 : Ngorongoro Crater

Accommodation: Eileen's Tree Inn

Early in the morning, we will descent into the Crater to enjoy the wildlife and landscapes during the best hours of the day, before it gets warm and crowded by other vehicles. This UNESCO World Heritage Site hosts the biggest concentration of wildlife in all of Africa, as the animal have been trapped by its 600 meters-high crater walls. We are allowed to stay inside the crater for up to 6 hours. After that, we will head to Karatu where will spend the night. Don’t miss the chance to go for a safari walk from Karatu, and enjoy the nature from closer, on foot.

Day 7 : Tarangire National Park

Accommodation: Roika Campsite

Today we will explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants that make their own mini-migration in search of water.  The park is a favorite of many with a magical landscaped dotted by baobab trees.  After a full day game drive we head to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 : Arusha

After a last breakfast in the middle of the African savannah, we will drive back to Arusha to arrive by noon.  Where you will be transfered to your hotel or to the airport for your return flight.
